Studio Policies

To make sure everyone has a positive and safe experience at SYNCD Pilates, we’ve set some studio guidelines. These policies help us maintain a welcoming, respectful space for all clients. Please take a moment to review them, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!

  • Welcome to SYNCD Pilates! Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to check in and settle in.

    Remember our studio policies:

    • No outdoor shoes allowed on the studio floor/ mats

    • Please silence phones/smartwatches

    • Recording in class is not allowed unless you have the permission of instructor and other class attendees

    Bring a water bottle (we have water for purchase at the studio), a towel, and any personal props you prefer. Please wear comfortable clothing that you are able to move freely in. Grip socks are required, please bring your own - we also have some available for purchase in the studio.

  • You can easily book your classes directly on our website by selecting your preferred date and time from the class schedule. Alternatively, you can use the Momence app for added convenience. Download the app for Apple or Android using the links below:

  • If a class is full, you can join the waitlist and will be notified via email and/or text if a spot opens up. Please note that a fee will apply if you secure a spot from the waitlist and do not attend or late cancel your booking. Please ensure you are monitoring the waitlist.

  • Your comfort and safety are our top priorities! Please inform us of any injuries or if you're pregnant so we can provide appropriate modifications for your safety and enjoyment.

  • We encourage you to arrive on time to ensure a smooth check-in process. Studio doors are locked after 5 minutes and you will not be permitted to enter class. Additionally you will be charged a $15 no-show fee.

  • If you need to cancel your booking, please do so at least 8 hours in advance to avoid the $15 late cancellation fee. Please note if you do not cancel in time, you will also lose your class credit.

  • Membership cancellations require a 30-day notice. All memberships require a 3-month minimum commitment.

  • All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

  • By attending classes at SYNCD Pilates you agree to the following code of conduct:

    We are an inclusive and conscious community for all people regardless of race, identity, age, ability, and size.

    Every member of the SYNCD Pilates community has the right to feel safe and respected. We do not tolerate oppressive or discriminatory behavior or language of any kind. We are a community free of judgement, assumption and shame.

    We reserve the right to terminate membership or request removal from the studio for any persons who act in defiance of this code.

  • Mat pilates is a form of movement developed by Joseph Pilates that emphasizes core strength, flexibility, and body awareness. It focuses on controlled, intentional movement using body weight and small props, serving as the foundation for all pilates practices.

  • If you’re new to pilates, we recommend starting with a private class or our Foundations class, where you can learn the basic movement principles. Once you feel comfortable, you’re welcome to join our all-levels Flow class!

  • Yes, we provide mats and any props that may be used in class. However, you are always welcome to bring what feels best for you. The only item we don’t offer is ankle weights, so feel free to bring your own!

  • Please notify the instructor of any injuries beforehand. We recommend booking a private class prior to joining any group classes if you have:

    • Recent Injuries: Sprains, strains, or minor fractures from the past few weeks.

    • Chronic Pain: Ongoing discomfort that has lasted for an extended period.

    • Back Issues: Conditions like herniated discs or chronic back pain.

    • Joint Problems: Issues like arthritis or tendonitis.

    • Post-Surgery: Recovery from recent surgical procedures.

    • Rehabilitation: Undergoing physical therapy for specific injuries.

    • Cardiovascular Conditions: Heart-related issues requiring exercise modifications.

    • Orthopedic Concerns: Limitations such as fractures or osteoporosis.

    • Neurological Conditions: Disorders affecting movement and coordination.

    • Balance and Stability Issues: Concerns regarding stability during movement.

    • Pre-existing Conditions: Any medical condition needing special attention.

  • If you're pregnant, please consult with your healthcare provider before participating in classes. We follow ACOG guidelines for exercising during pregnancy to ensure your safety and comfort.

  • If you're not feeling well, please prioritize rest and recovery. We encourage you to stay home and take care of yourself. Remember, our cancellation policy requires notifying us 8 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.

  • For optimal benefits, we recommend 2-3 classes per week, but listen to your body! Consistency is key, and it’s important to find a rhythm that works for you.
